Go up towards Penna and
turn right to Piane de
Falerone at the first junction. Down to
the Pian
, turn left and take the next major left turn (acutely back) to
Falerone. Falerone
itself is a splendid town just to wander around with a nice little
Roman museum. The restaurant is found by turning left at the little
bollard at the T junction. The restaurant is about 100-200 yards off
to the left and is signed. It is a bit of a concrete monstrosity but
the views from the terrace of the Sybillinis
at sunset are stunning. Friday night is fish night but
be sure to specify that you want the fish
meal when you book. The meal goes on for ever and costs about 25 Euro
per head.
Smerillo has an excellent
restaurant - popular with Italian families for Sunday lunch - next
hilltop to Santa Vittoria. Girasole is good for "stinko"
up towards Penna, turn right at the top of the road and Girasole is
about a mile and half down on the right hand side.
